TCM voted fan-favourite support category
THE Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters series has been voted as Australia’s most popular ‘support’ category by local motorsport fans.
TCM came out on top in the annual Motorsport Survey conducted by speedcafe.com.
74% of all respondents voted the category as their favourite pick of all classes racing on the Supercars championship program, placing TCM comfortably ahead of the next-best in the form of Super2/3, voted for by 47% of all those who responded to the survey.
Carrera Cup was third, drawing 38% of the votes.
Touring Car Masters will appear at a pair of Supercars Championship events this year, kicking off the 2022 season at the Newcastle 500 on March 4-6, before returning to North Queensland and the Townsville 500 in July.
