Ben Grice secures brand new Trans Am Ford Mustang

National Trans Am Series competitor Ben Grice will resume his season in a new Ford Mustang, which arrived last week.

Grice is mounting a serious attack on the final two rounds of this year’s National Trans Am Series title ahead of a full campaign in 2022.

All American Driveline and Auto Parts will continue its support of Grice, which started at Bathurst.

Debuting at Phillip Island, Grice finished on the podium last time out at Sydney Motorsport Park and is hoping the momentum can continue in the new chassis.

“It’s a brand new Mustang built at the start of this year and we took delivery of it last week,” Grice said.

“It should be a pretty good thing.”

Grice has so far this season has raced a Greg Crick-owned Dodge Challenger, but he highlighted sponsor All American Driveline and Auto Parts as an important factor in transitioning to the Ford Mustang.

“The main reason for purchasing the new Mustang is at Bathurst we had All American Driveline and Auto Parts come onboard with us,” Grice said.

“National Trans Am is the perfect fit for All American Driveline and Auto Parts because the business focuses on servicing and sourcing parts for US-sourced makes and models from the States.

“All American Driveline and Auto Parts supply components to customers across Australia, but it’s specialty is the Ford brand, particularly the F-Series and Bronco, so the Mustang was a perfect fit for them.”

Grice will sample the Ford Mustang for the first time next week, an opportunity he is excited for.

“We’re planning to test next week before Sydney Motorsport Park, we’ll go up to Winton and complete a shakedown, while learning as much as we can,” he stated.

“We had some good results at Bathurst and Sydney Motorsport Park where I scored my first podium in National Trans Am, but in this new car we should be faster again.”

Grice will launch an exciting new livery ahead of the Mustang’s debut.

The National Trans Am Series will resume alongside the Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park on November 19-21.
