TCR AUSTRALIA TO JOIN B6HR PROGRAM

TCR CARS will make their Bathurst debut at the 2020 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, following confirmation that the event will feature on the TCR Australia Series calendar next year.The event is also pleased to confirm it will form part of the broader Shannons Nationals tour for the first time across the Easter Long weekend, April 10-12.The announcements come as part of a broader announcement of a continued relationship between the Shannons Nationals / CAMS and the Australian Racing Group (ARG), who now also promote the Bathurst 6 Hour in conjunction with the Bathurst Regional council.The announcement is another step in the evolution of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour weekend as the event continues to grow.The second round of the 2020 TCR Australia Series will see the first official hit-out for TCR Cars on the Mountain serve as the perfect lead-in to the six-hour Production Car enduro on Sunday afternoon.TCR join Australian GT on the confirmed list of B6HR support categories, with the event to double as the opening round of the 2020 CAMS Australian GT Championship.The B6HR will serve as the second round of the TCR Australia calendar and the third event of an expanded 2020 schedule, that kicks off at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix with the TCR Asia Pacific Cup in March.The series then kicks off officially two weeks later at Sydney Motorsport Park before heading to the Mountain on the Easter Long Weekend.Trips to Winton, The Bend Motorsport Park, Phillip Island and Sandown – and a yet to be confirmed location for Round 5 – complete a seven-round calendar.TCR Cars then return to the Mountain later in the year for the new fifth Bathurst event to conclude the year.”Bringing Bathurst into our series is going to be a winner for everyone.
