2020 HI-TEC OILS BATHURST 6 HOUR DATE LOCKED IN

THE 2020 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will once again be contested across the Easter long weekend, meaning the next edition of the Showroom showdown will be held on April 12, 2020. Activities will be again held across three days commencing on Friday. 10 April and running across the long weekend to culminate in another exciting six-hour enduro on Easter Sunday. The race has established itself on the Australian motor sport calendar as the major event on the Easter long weekend. The Event and major sponsor, Hi-Tec Oils, announced this year a major extension to their partnership which will take the relationship through the 2023 event. The 2019 race was won in dominant style by Beric Lynton and Tim Leahey as they powered to a one-lap victory in their BMW M3. They were the first combination to win from pole position and set a new six-hour race distance record of 131 laps, or 814 kilometers. The race was the fastest in six-hour history and was only broken up by three Safety Car periods throughout – the least in race history. Grant and Iain Sherrin finished second in their BMW while Nathan Callaghan, Matt Holt and Chris Lillis third in a HSV GTS. Entries for the 2020 race open later this year.
