TCM MANAGEMENT HAILS SUPERB BOWE POLE

ENZED Touring Car Masters (TCM) category manager Tony Hunter has issued the following Qualifying for Round 4 of the ENZED Touring Car Masters series at Hidden Valley raceway in Darwin.

“Touring Car Masters would like to congratulate John Bowe and Gary O’Brien (the car owner) on achieving another first class pole position at Hidden Valley Raceway today.

“The Torana has had a weight adjustment in accordance with the TCM performance adjustment schedule following its debut at Winton in May.

“However in the hugely capable hands of John Bowe it has achieved this fantastic result which is well deserved for such an iconic Australian Car with an original Australian Holden 308 V8 engine.”

Bowe scored pole with a track record 1m12.3826s lap time just 0.1s faster than Steven Johnson driving Bowe’s regular Ford Mustang TransAm.

It is believed to be the first Bowe-Johnson front row lock out in top-level Australian Motorsport since the Lakeside round of the Australian Touring Car / V8 Supercars Championship round in 1998.
